Attention-getting devices must be relevant. To the product or service, and to the audience. So, while things like babies and puppies may attract attention through sheer cuteness, unless they’re relevant to what you’re selling it won’t matter. They could even be insulting to your audience.

Determining what those creative-attention-getting-hooks should be is where a good marketing partner comes in. Effective advertising is seldom what you would expect—but also is uniquely relevant to the product, service, and/or brand.
